TIPPOO SULTAN

Edward Orme was a British publisher who documented Tipu Sultan and the events of the Anglo-Mysore Wars through a series of prints and paintings, often created by artists like James Hunter. These works, such as Picturesque Scenery in the Kingdom of Mysore, depicted various aspects of the war, including battles, fortifications, and portraits of Tipu Sultan himself, providing a British perspective on the conflict.  This is one of the rarest portrait.
