This map is drawn by captain J .G.Medley-Bengal Engineers in 1858.It illustrate the British army’s operations before Lucknow would show the initial siege of the Residency, the arrival of the first relief force led by General Havelock and Sir James Outram in September 1857, the garrison’s eventual rescue by Sir Colin Campbell in November 1857, and Campbell’s final, complete capture of the city in March 1858. Visuals should include the city’s layout, the Residency’s fortified position, key buildings occupied by rebels, and the movements of British and rebel forces, including troop concentrations and battle lines.
