The binding has been carefully repaired to preserve the original decorative leather binding, including an ornamental border on both the front and back covers. The spine has been re-laid. The book contains 28 chromolithograph plates, each printed on one side of the sheet.  These plates collectively showcase 120 exquisite designs of traditional Indian jewelry necklaces, bangles, bracelets—as well as decorative sword and dagger hilts.  The plates are described as very attractive and the book is regarded as one of the finest references on Indian jewelry.
